New Horizons - Saying Good Bye

A 3 Time State Champion, Now Taking a New Step

Stephen was a Team Chazak member when Chazak started back in 2013.  He went to World Championships the first year with his other two team mates and went to World's every year afterwards.  He has been a valuable member and the team will greatly miss him.  We asked Carolyn, the coach, to answer a few questions and also asked Staphen to answer a few as well.  They can be seen below.

Answers from the Coach (Mrs. Morali)

  • How have you seen Stephen grow these last three years while being part of Team Chazak?

Team Chazak has experienced a lot of success over the last three years.  In some ways, success has come easy, in other ways, it has been very difficult.  Both situations build character, and I have seen Stephen grow  in grace through both sets of circumstances.  I have seen him enjoy success with grace and humility.  I have seen him reach out to other competitors with words of encouragement.  I have seen him learn to work together as part of a team.  I have seen him in the good times and in the difficult times.  He has been pressed; his character has been challenged.  Through it all, Stephen has emerged with a gentleness of heart.  He has taken the challenges and allowed them to mold his character to be more Christ like.

And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

Luke 2:52

  • What would you encourage him in as he starts the next adventure in life

Stephen, as you start your next adventure in life, I encourage you to allow the Lord to continue his good work in you.  Embrace teaching and correction, knowing that it will produce a character that is pleasing to the Lord.  Press in; draw near to the Lord and He will draw near to you.    The Lord has a great future for you that will be beyond what you can imagine!

Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.

Jeremiah 33:3

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Jeremiah 29:11

Answers from Stephen

  • What has been the most impacting part about the last three years while being part of Team Chazak?

I would say that the most impacting part being on team Chazak would be the friendships that have deepened and getting to be a light.

  • What will you miss most about being on Team Chazak?

The thing that I will miss the most, is probably going to be being with my friends and not being able to be a part of the team. It's been awesome being on team Chazak.

  • What is one thing you would encourage the rest of the team in as a friend and brother in Christ?

The one thing I would encourage the team in is to stay strong and keep their focus on the reason why they are doing robotics.

The team will miss Stephen a lot but they are looking forward to seeing where God takes him in this next season!

Who We Are
